  13. Dear Friends,

Thank you all for your kind and thoughtful messages. I appreciate every single one of them.

The sudden loss of my mother who was very fit and healthy has been traumatic for all my family; she was the cornerstone of our lives and provided unfailing security, consistency and love.

It will be hard for me to come to terms with her loss in this manner... although a part of me knows that ultimately it was as she wished. Having spent most of her life caring for others she feared a long protracted death, senility and becoming a burden...so although her death has come far too soon I am conscious that her suffering was brief, her wishes fufilled and for that I am grateful.

I am very fortunate to have some wonderfully supportive friends and family and I am even more lucky that in the course of the last year, whilst blogging, I have made so many more.

    Thank you all once again,

    Jane

  18. Jane,
What a beautiful lady your Mum was.
I appreciate your sadness at this time as mine still goes on for the loss of my Mum. Although their presence is always missed, the memories come to life as time goes on and they are forever in our hearts and our words and speak to us every day of our lives. The memories never fade...
    God Bless.

Thank you for those words. You are right; memories do not fade and I am fortunate mine are all happy ones. See you soon, J.

    Eddie,

My mum and I did share a lot of laughter especially as we both got older; when we not just mother and daughter but best friends too. I'm going to miss her in so many ways. Thanks for your words Eddie.
