Human Rights.

I lost my sight
Because I had no rights

I lost my soul
In a pitiful hole

I lost my heart
Because I played no part

I lost my mind
In all the unkind

If I could breathe
I would not grieve

If I could sing
It would be Spring

If I could shout
I would have no doubt

And if I was free
I could be me.

  5. Very impressive and very to the point. It is sad that this kind of poem even needs to be written because governments are so uninterested in doing anything real to stop it.
